I moved to Norway in 1998 to work as a production editor on the weekly global shipping newspaper TradeWinds, part of the NHST Media Group. I later assumed leadership of the production desk for eight years responsible for the delivery of the newspaper and supplements and accompanying administration and IT requirements. In 2016 I became a full-time journalist writing news feature articles on industry issues and personalities. This has given me a broad understanding of the structure of the global shipping markets and maritime supply industry. During that time I have also undertaken freelance translation and copywriting assignments. Previously in London my career was in editorial project management within general trade (non-fiction) and medical publishing. Being an exemplary wordsmith my purpose is to help prospective corporate clients with their written English language content requirements e.g. copy for both online and offline channels (storytelling), editing documentation, structuring information for marketing communications collateral, research and/or translating from Norwegian, etc.
